Walking and biking paths, gardening areas, a putting green, and spaces for shuffleboard, horseshoes and bocce ball are all on site. The George F. Rice Community Center — a central part of Jefferson’s Ferry — houses our swimming pool, fitness center with certified senior fitness instructors, theater, library, creative arts center, technology and educational classes, and areas for small gatherings, like book clubs or card games.

Our residents attend classes offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and the Music and Metropolitan Opera Simulcast series at Stony Brook University. They also attend music programs and performances at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on the Long Island University Post campus in Brookville, live music, dance, theater, and fine art exhibitions at the Staller Center at SBU, as well as stage productions at local community theaters and Suffolk County Community College. They make trips to museums, jazz concerts and other destinations throughout our Three Village community. Jefferson’s Ferry hosts live, interactive programs with museums and national parks around the country, as well as speakers from local hospitals, colleges and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
