Gloria Snyder is Vice President of Mark J. Snyder Financial Services, Inc., a full service financial consulting firm. Ms. Snyder is actively involved as a member of the Stony Brook Alumni Association and served as its President. Ms. Snyder serves as chairperson of the Advancement Council of the Stony Brook Cancer Center, member of the Advisory Board of the Staller Center and past President of Hillel Foundation.
Wayne Shattes has been the Vice President of Administration at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson since 1986. Wayne received his Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the State University of New York, Geneseo. Mr. Shattes has taught Health Care Finance as a member of the Adjunct Faculty of St. Joseph’s College, Patchogue, New York. He is a Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Shattes is a Member of the Port Jefferson Rotary and has served on the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels.
John Sini is a retired partner of Albanese, Sini & Reeves, an accounting firm located in East Setauket, NY where he served for more than 45 years. Mr. Sini served on the Board at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson for over 35 years and now is a member of their Advisor Board.
James Danowski is a senior partner at Cullen & Danowski, LLP., a full service accounting firm located in Port Jefferson’s Station, NY. Mr. Danowski serves on the Advisory Board of Mather Hospital, and is Chairperson of the JTM Health Facilities Foundation, Inc. Mr. Danowski served on the Board of former Suffolk County National Bank. Mr. Danowski is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Kim M. Kubasek is Chief Executive Officer of Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI). Her career in healthcare administration spanned two decades at Staten Island University Hospital and St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY. She then served as Chief Operating Officer at United Cerebral Palsy for six years before joining DDI in 2010. Ms. Kubasek is involved in several community-based organizations, including as a catechist at Saints Phillips & James Religious Education in St. James, NY and a tutor for Literacy Suffolk.
Debbie Engelhardt has been the Director/CEO of Comsewogue Public Library in Port Jefferson Station since 2012. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Palmer School of Library and Information Science, Long Island University, teaching Public Library Administration. Ms. Engelhardt is a member of the Mather Hospital Community Advisory Board, having previously served on the Mather Hospital Board.
Lawrence Eric Davidow is the Senior and Managing Partner of Davidow, Davidow, Siegel & Stern concentrating in Elder Law, Estate Planning and Special Needs. He is a Past President and Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) which is awarded through the National Elder Law Foundation. Mr. Davidow is a published author and most recently wrote, “Listen to Lawrence if You’re Planning to Keep It”, an explanation of Elder Law in New York. He has dedicated his professional career to informing elders, people with disabilities and their families.
Wendy Darwell serves as the President and CEO of the Suburban Hospital Alliance of NYS, which represents the interests of public and not-for-profit hospitals in the Hudson Valley and on Long Island. In this role, she provides policy expertise on a broad range of healthcare issues and oversees membership and education services for hospital staff.
Mr. Roberts recently retired from Mather Hospital where he served as President for the past 36 years. Under Mr. Roberts’ leadership, Mather Hospital grew into one of the most respected and highly ranked hospitals on Long Island and was designated as a Magnet hospital for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. Mr. Roberts is on the Board of Directors of the JTM Foundation and Sights on Health, Inc. where he also serves as Secretary of the Board.
