The Jefferson’s Ferry Journey Toward Renewal expansion project has transformed our community campus in South Setauket, NY. We’ve added new apartments for Independent Living, and Memory Care residences in The Vincent Bove Health Center. We now offer new and enhanced dining venues, a Healthy Living Center with a fully-equipped gym and fitness room, a state-of-the-art Wellness and Rehabilitation Center, and more. But we’re not quite done.

‍Because of the immense popularity of Phase I, we are currently in a second phase of construction. Twelve brand-new, one- and two-bedroom apartments plus den, with modern appliances and high-end finishes are being built.

Specially designed for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, our Memory Care Neighborhood in the Vincent Bove Health Center features 20 new private studio apartments, comfortable gathering spaces, private dining and activity spaces, lifestyle stations, and an outdoor garden with patio.  

Certified Dementia Practitioners on staff work with individuals and family members to create care plans tailored to each resident’s abilities and interests. Programming will include: Music and Memory, art and music therapy, exercise programs including Chair Chi, cooking programs, horticulture, and pet therapy.
