Newsweek Ranks Jefferson’s Ferry Top CCRC in the State, 25th Nationally, in America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities 2024

Setauket, NY…January 2024… Jefferson’s Ferry Life Plan Community has been ranked the top Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRCs) in New York State by a national Newsweek survey conducted among healthcare professionals, CCRC residents, family members and acquaintances of those living in CCRCs and through accreditation data. Continuing Care Retirement Communities, also known as Life Plan Communities, offer a continuum of long-term care options, allowing residents to access higher-level care as medical needs progress. The communities typically include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Care and Memory Care.

Online surveys conducted nationally utilized professional recommendations and assessments from medical professionals (e.g., registered nurses, therapists, and physicians) and staff working in the management/administration of CCRCs and surveyed thousands of acquaintances of residents and residents living in CCRCs. Acquaintances were able to participate through Newsweek.com. The survey was also promoted on several social media platforms.
