Space for the activities you already love and new ones you didn’t know you wanted to try.

Our beautiful grounds with walking, jogging, and biking paths, gardening areas, putting green, and spaces to play shuffleboard, horseshoes and bocce ball create the perfect setting for your active lifestyle. We’ve got plenty of inviting indoor options, too. The George Rice Community Center—a central part of Jefferson’s Ferry—houses our swimming pool, fitness center, theater, library, creative arts center, technology and educational classes and areas for small gatherings, like card games or book clubs.

Through our partnerships with distinguished institutions you’ll find numerous cultural and volunteer opportunities, both at Jefferson’s Ferry and offsite.

Our residents attend Osher Life Long Learning classes and the Music and Metropolitan Opera Simulcast series at Stony Brook University, music programs at Tilles Center LIU Post, and plays at community theaters and Suffolk County Community College. They also make trips to museums, jazz concerts and other destinations throughout our Three-Village community.

Plus, we host in-house live interactive programs with museums and national parks around the country, and speakers from local hospitals, colleges and Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Have something else in mind? Chances are someone else might be interested, too. Join one of our many resident-run committees and bring your ideas to life at Jefferson’s Ferry.
