What is Life Care?
Understanding Life Care starts with understanding more about the structure of our community. Jefferson’s Ferry is a Life Plan community, also known as a CCRC, a Continuing Care Retirement Community. As a Life Plan community, we offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Life Plan communities offer different types of residency contracts. Our most popular contract type is a Life Care contract because it gives you priority access to quality, on-site assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing care, and rehabilitation services. It also gives you peace of mind that you will get the healthcare you need, when you need it, at a predictable cost.
While a Life Care contract typically has a larger entrance fee than other types of contracts, by signing up now, you’ll know that your healthcare is taken care of for years to come—without leaving our community.
Choosing to live at Jefferson’s Ferry means choosing to live life on your own terms, every day. We believe part of enjoying every day is knowing you have unlimited, lifetime access to the healthcare you may need, no matter what.
Benefits of Life Care
- Priority access to our advanced care options. That means, should you need it, you’ll have access to assisted living, nursing care, rehabilitation, or memory care.
- Increased levels of care without drastically increasing costs. When you sign a Life Care contract, you’ll have a good sense for what your rate will be, aside from cost of living increases, even if you need more care in the future.
- A portion of your one-time entrance fee or ongoing monthly fees may be deductible as a medical expense. Please check with your tax advisor for how this may apply to your unique situation.
